The iQOO Neo5 will be announced on March 16. It was revealed last week, this week the brand confirmed the rumors that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 870.
The chipset will be paired with fast UFS 3.1 storage and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Memory Fusion, a technology developed by vivo for OriginOS, will make those 12 GB look like 15 GB (it’s similar to a swap partition). There should also be an 8GB version (advertised as 8 + 3GB because of Fusion).
iQOO Neo5: Snapdragon 870 confirmed • 120 Hz display • Carbon fiber teaser
The brand doesn’t deny the 120Hz rumors and talks about an “independent display chip” that will reduce the power requirements of the high refresh rate AMOLED panel. iQOO also teases fast battery charging (66W FlashCharge). And we have a smell of carbon fiber.
From the many leaks we can build a fairly detailed picture of the iQOO Neo5. It will have a 6.6 ”Super AMOLED display with 1080p + resolution, plus a triple camera with a main module of 48 MP, 13 MP ultra wide and an assistant. The battery capacity will be 4400 mAh. The price tag is said to be between CNY 3,000 and CNY 3,700 ($ 465-575).
