Shortly after the Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Watch3 received an update to unlock the ECG function for European countries, Samsung is now offering features built into the Galaxy Watch3 on the original Galaxy Watch and Watch Active.

So far, the update is being distributed to US and Korean owners, but it will likely go global soon enough. The original Galaxy Watch increases the firmware version to R810XXU1FUB6 while Active2 gets R500XXUF1UB5. Both are now using Tizen 5.5 as opposed to Tizen 4.0 when they were first released.
The new features in question are support for AR Emoji and Bitmoji, images appear on your notifications, voice instructions for cycling and running, continuous scrolling screenshots and tips via connected headphones.
