Samsung recently rolled out better and better updates to its insanely large list of devices, and today it has been proven once again. Originally slated to receive Android 11 in May, the 2019 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is now already busy getting the new software.
The deployment is not yet wide, it is currently limited to the LTE model of the tablet sold in Germany. However, if you have one, you will soon be notified of the availability of a new version – T865XXU4CUB7. This 2.2GB download will bring you Android 11 with Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1, along with the March 2021 security patch level. It really isn’t getting more mainstream than that just yet.

This likely means that a similar update is underway for the Wi-Fi-only Tab S6, and those two are expected to expand to countries other than Germany in the days and weeks to come. Even though it takes a while for it to hit all possible S6 units, it’s still early days compared to Samsung’s initial plans, and that’s something to celebrate.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was also supposed to receive the Android 11 update in May, and now we wonder if this model could join the Tab S6 having the chance to get the new software sooner. We’ll let you know if we find out anything about it.
