Besides the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite, Samsung is also working on another even lower end tablet. We’re talking about the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2021), the successor to the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), not surprisingly. This model launched in March of last year, so expect to see its successor around the same time.
While waiting for the official introduction, we can now admire some very rough CAD-based renderings of the next tablet.
These reveal rounded corners, slim bezels for this price, a single camera on the back, and no physical buttons on the front. There doesn’t appear to be a fingerprint sensor anywhere, which wouldn’t be surprising for a budget tablet. Compared to its predecessor, it’s not much of a change, from a design standpoint. Hopefully the novelties will be housed inside.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2021) is said to be 201.9 x 125.2 x 7mm, and those dimensions are eerily similar to the 2020 model 202 x 125.2 x 7.1mm. The next tablet also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack from its predecessor and the USB-C charging port.
