Samsung will unveil the Galaxy M02 on February 2, a more affordable version of the Galaxy M02. The new model will cost less than INR 7,000 and will be sold through Amazon – you can find the dedicated landing page here.
It contains a few details – the screen will be an Infinity-V panel, with a size of 6.5 inches and a resolution of 720p +. In addition, the battery will have a capacity of 5000 mAh. This matches the M02s so far, so what has changed? The price savings have to come from somewhere.
We believe this phone will have the model number SM-M022, you can find SAR information for this on Samsung official website. There is also a support page for this on Samsung Thailand, so it won’t be an Indian exclusive.
Regardless, considering that the Galaxy A02s is almost identical to the M02s, we believe the Galaxy M02 will be based on the A02 (which was unveiled today for the Thai market). This means a MediaTek MT6739W chipset (with Cortex-A53 quad processor), 13MP rear camera (+ 2MP macro), 5MP selfie camera, and 7.5W battery charging speed.
The Samsung Galaxy M02 will have a 6.5 “HD + display and a 5000 mAh battery
The Galaxy M02 was announced in early January and is already available at INR 9,000. The M02 vanilla event takes place next week, starting February 2 at 1 p.m. local time.
