More than a month ago, we had the first information about the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A80. Other than the model number and the fact that it will feature an original camera module with a rotating mechanism, there was nothing else in the report.

Now we have the chipset, thanks to some Geekbench listings. Model number SM-A826S helped us identify the phone as the Galaxy A82 5G and to our surprise it will feature the Snapdragon 855+ SoC launched at the end of 2018.

The configuration that has been tested also runs Android 11 and is equipped with 6 GB of RAM. We will wait for more details to paint a more complete picture.
