After a long time, Samsung is finally offering electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure monitoring support for its Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2 smartwatches. Samsung’s Health Monitor app has been CE marked for compliance with health, safety and environmental standards in the European Economic Area.
Now users in the 27 EEA member states, along with the UK, Chile, Indonesia and the UAE will be able to take their blood pressure and take ECG readings directly from their compatible smartwatches. Before the newly added countries, both health services were only available in South Korea and the United States. The new update to the Samsung Health Monitor app will be available from February 4 and will follow a phased rollout schedule.
