According to the architect, many Vietnamese people often don’t pay attention to the roof and terrace when building houses because these are the areas that receive the most heat radiation. Therefore, the architect advised the owner to set up a tropical garden and grow vegetables on the terrace to have a more relaxing space and stay close to nature while reducing heat on the roof.
This garden has an area of 45 square meters, using a double-layer floor with geotextile for waterproofing, then adding a layer of 15 cm of soil for planting.
The plants used in the house are easy to grow and take care of, including Indian chrysanthemums, sesame buds, longan, bougainvillea and ylang-ylang.
