According to a renowned Chinese tipster on Weibo, the upcoming Redmi K40 series won’t have two but three phones – likely the vanilla K40, K40S, and K40 Pro.

There have been plenty of device leaks in the past and a recent teaser even revealed the price of the Pro model with Snapdragon 888 – it will start at CNY 2,999. It is aggressive pricing even for the Chinese market. In addition to the Snapdragon 888, the so-called Digital Chat Station says it will use a 108MP main sensor.
The good news is that we don’t have to wait much longer for some official information as the handsets are slated to go live towards the end of this month, although the latter is also unconfirmed.
