Last December, we exclusively brought you the Realme Race (RMX2202) powered by the SoC Snapdragon 888, which will launch the new GT series. Today, Realme announced that it will unveil the GT 5G on March 4 in China at 2 p.m. local time.
Realme has confirmed that GT 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 but did not reveal any other details. The GT 5G is likely the trade name for Realme Race, and it will ship with Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.

The GT 5G was recently spotted in TENAA’s database, revealing that it will have a hole-punch display and triple-camera setup on the back, which is rumored to include 64MP, 13MP ultrawide and 13MP primary telephoto lenses.

However, a few leaks have shown the smartphone with different designs – one with a glass back and the other with a leather-like texture. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station Earlier today, the GT 5G would arrive in plain leather and glass versions, so it looks like Realme’s first Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone will indeed have several models to choose from.

Realme has yet to detail the specs for the GT 5G, but we expect it to come with a 125W UltraDart load and a 120Hz display. Although there are rumors, the smartphone will sport a 160Hz panel.
With the unveiling still two weeks away, we’ll likely know more about the Realme GT 5G in the coming days.
