The Realme GT 5G arrives on March 4, and the company today confirmed that it will ship a Snapdragon 888 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.

Although Realme did not detail the specifications of the GT 5G, its vice president Mr. Xu Qi Chase posted a screenshot of the AnTuTu results of the phone on Weibo with a score of 770221, which is about 35,000 more than what Qualcomm’s benchmark device with Snapdragon 888 achieved.

However, shortly after Mr. Chase shared the benchmark results, AnTuTu released a screenshot showing that the Realme GT 5G scored 688,602 points in its tests, which is in line with what the Xiaomi Mi 11 powered by Snapdragon 888 achieved in our testing.
AnTuTu said this was the only score found in their system and contacted Realme for clarification on the issue. In response, Realme said that the GT 5G unit with an AnTuTu score of less than 700k could be an early R&D device, and that they performed several AnTuTu tests on the phone, all scoring over 700,000 points.
Last December, we exclusively announced that Realme GT 5G will ship with Android 11, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This bit is corroborated by the AnTuTu screenshot shared today, which also revealed that the smartphone will ship a 120Hz display.

The Realme GT 5G is rumored to be available in both glass and leather versions, the leaked images of which are said to have different designs. The glass-backed variant will sport a circular camera module on its rear panel, while the leather model will feature a rectangular camera island.

Now we learn that there is also a plain leather variant “Bumblebee”. This information comes from a reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, who said Realme used the industry’s first plain leather stitching process on this version. The tipster also shared an image showing the back panel of the Bumblebee model, which we’ve attached below.

With the official unveiling of Realme GT 5G in about two weeks, you can expect to hear more about the flagship in the coming days.
