Realme is making a big splash for the February 24 launch of its Buds Air 2 TWS headphones. They will be tuned by electronic DJs The Chainsmokers and promise the best Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Here is a preview of the helmet on the event page.

Realme Buds Air 2: 25dB ANC mode and 88ms low latency • 25 hour battery life and 10mm speakers
ANC is rated at 25dB, compared to 35dB for the Realme Buds Air Pro. Of course, the price of the Pro is 5000 INR / 90 € and the Air 2 will be more affordable (the actual price will be announced at the event). The original Air helmet cost about half of it (€ 50).
These will have a game mode that promises to reduce latency to 88ms. It’s actually slightly better than the Pro model, which advertises 94ms.
Battery life is also slightly better, the Realme Buds Air 2 is expected to last 22.5 hours with ANC enabled (compared to 20 hours for the Pro). With cancellation turned off, you watch about 25 hours of playback. A full charge will take 2 hours, but a quick 10 minute charge is enough for 2 hours of playing time.

The buds will have 10mm drivers with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on the diaphragm. Compared to traditional diaphragms, Realme claims the DLC improves frequency response for crisper sound and deeper bass (and helps the headphones last longer on startup).
The launch event is scheduled for Wednesday next week at 12:30 p.m.
