This time, Rodrygo was the one who made the beautiful cross for Benzema. The Frenchman made a wonderful header, and once again named himself in the scoring board. It was 2-0 for Real Madrid, and the result is good enough to make Los Blancos become the qualifier for the next round.
In the remaining time of the match, Real Madrid had made the ball to the net again, but the goal was denied because Luka Modric scored it in offside position.
In the end, Real Madrid got a 2-0 victory over Gladbach and made it to the next round. Despite being defeated, Gladbach was qualified for the next round of UEFA Champions League since Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk only had a drawn result.
