There are a lot of ways to hurt audio streaming, especially if there is a wireless headset at the end of the chain. Qualcomm aims to solve all of these issues with the new Snapdragon Sound platform.
On the phone side, the company has aligned the Snapdragon 800 series chips with the FastConnect 6900 connectivity system. For headsets and earphones, there are the QCC514x, QCC515x, and QCC3056 series Bluetooth audio SoCs.

Between them, they support aptX Adaptive, which is capable of delivering high-quality 24-bit 96kHz audio with very low latency – as low as 89ms (45% less than “a top competitor,” says Qualcomm). For voice calls and conference calls, there is the aptX Voice codec. An active noise cancellation system is also available.
The system has been designed to withstand interference from other Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signals, so that it can provide trouble-free sound even in busy environments. Qualcomm has also designed elements to make pairing easier once you’ve taken your new headset out of the box.
