Apple is reportedly working on 1TB versions of the upcoming iPhone 13 – in fact, the iPhone 12S, says Jon Prosser. Current Apple phones reach 512 GB since the XS generation of 2018.
The new model is still in the prototype development stage. And some prototypes of the Pro models have 1TB of built-in memory – the ceiling for vanilla models is, as usual, lower.
Storage aside, Prosser cites a source that said the iPhone 12S / 13 will have a smaller notch – but not that that means a smaller height, not a smaller width than you might have hoped (warning fair: we heard the rumors of the “little notch” in the last year too, but it didn’t work).
There is no mention of a potential integrated fingerprint reader, although current rumors say that Apple will retain Face ID even if it adds a reader, which is why the notch is here to stay.
The video begins with the coverage of AirTags, the elusive tracking keyrings that Apple has yet to reveal. Recently, various key chains and other accessories for tags have started to appear on online retailers. Some are apparently based on an Apple benchmark design, others go their own way. Anyway, the content of the iPhone starts around 8 minutes.
