Singapore-headquartered gaming startup Storms and Southeast Asian digital entertainment firm POPS Worldwide today announced their partnership to bring 35 instantly playable games – ranging from arcade, sports, racing, education to puzzle genres – to the POPS mobile app (Android and iOS).
This marks POPS Worldwide’s foray into the instant gaming scene, with millions of users in Thailand and Vietnam now able to play quality instant games provided by Storms within their POPS mobile app (Android and iOS) without having to download the individual mobile game apps.
More games including hit games “Fruit Ninja” and “Jetpack Joyride” will also be coming to the POPS mobile app by the fourth quarter of this year.

Creating bonds through play
Social networking apps consistently top the share of mobile apps usage in Thailand. Additionally, mobile data and analytics platform App Annie highlighted that friend invites, events and multiplayer features are among the effective features that allow for better player retention in Vietnam.
Commenting on these findings, Yin shared, “Users in Thailand appreciate mobile apps that allow them to network with other users alike, while players in Vietnam view games as a means to have social interactions. With this in mind, Storms and POPS Worldwide are working on introducing tournaments with leaderboards and prizes later this year to connect players and further supercharge the gaming ecosystem in the region.”
