One Mount garners two prestigious awards as it celebrates two years of remarkable growth

One Mount – Vietnam’s largest technological ecosystem with solutions across distribution, financial services, real estate, and retail industries; has received back to back distinctions earning a spot in the Vietnam Software and IT Services Associations (VINASA) Top 10 Vietnam ICT Companies 2021, and HR Asia Awards’ Best Companies to Work For 2021. 

These twin achievements, which come as One Mount celebrates its second anniversary, underline the company’s commitment to empowering Vietnamese businesses to achieve digital transformation, develop local tech talent and serve consumers with quality products and services. 

Empowering businesses and consumers

At this year’s edition of VINASA’s Top 10 ICT Companies program, One Mount nabbed a spot in three categories, namely: Top 10 Companies Providing Digital Transformation Platforms, Top 10 Fintech Companies, and Top 10 Logistics and E-Commerce Companies. 

One Mount’s inclusion in these lists highlights the rapid growth and innovation across its three core business units.

• Vinshop mobile app has established itself as one of the country’s largest consumer goods distributors; it has built up a network of more than 80,000 shop owners across 14 regions nationwide offering a wide diversity of more than 2,000 consumer goods during the application’s first year of operation alone. 
• Meanwhile, its VinID super app has established itself as one of the largest loyalty platforms in Vietnam reaching millions of users. The VinID team is getting ready to unpack some new dedicated features that give users a deeper experience with loyalty through a new tiering system and curated rewards based on user interest. 
• Lastly, OneHousing and myHome (a connected app on VinID) has focused on the real estate journey from home buying to home management, and lifestyle content. The latter has already attracted over 50,000 users during its beta release. The team is also focusing on rolling out Fintech products and services in the coming months and is said to be working closely with Techcombank (a strategic partner) to bring more accessible financial solutions to mass audiences. 

Mr. Thanh says, “Given that One Mount has only been operating for two years, and that much of it was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is gratifying for us to be recognized for our efforts in enabling the local retail, distribution, financial services, and real estate sectors to evolve further into digital-first and customer-centric industries.” 

Cultivating Vietnamese Tech Talent

Meanwhile, One Mount was selected by HR Asia Magazine as one of its Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021 in recognition of its outstanding HR practices, attractive benefits, policies, and engaging work environment. 

A noteworthy One Mount’s HR approach, which is guided by a philosophy that upholds “the value of meaningful work”, is its focus on talent development. In the past year alone, it has rolled out meticulously designed training programs, certification policies, and flexible career pathing options for employees. These include “Fresh Geeks”, a recruitment program targeting technology and data graduates; “Next-Generation Customer Development”, an incubation program centered on trade, customer, and partner development; Summit Series: Product & Growth Marketing Program designed in tandem with Cornell University; and “Mid-careers Incubator”, focuses on recruiting candidates who has experienced in product development, scum framework and business analysis, among others.  

According to Mr. Thanh, fostering local tech competence and expertise will be key for Vietnam to achieve its digitalization goals—which includes becoming a regional technology hub—and One Mount is keen to do its part. 

He adds, “The recognition we have received from both VINASA and HR Asia Magazine inspires us to do even better, make more impactful initiatives that benefit local businesses and consumers, and further grow with Vietnam.”
