The Redmi K40 Gaming phone made big waves last month when fans learned about its impressive specifications. Previously, there was a rumor spinning that a new variant is coming but this time with a much “cheaper” chipset.
At the time of the announcement, the gaming-focused smartphone has been in the front line of the rumored pill. The latest revelation from a known Chinese leaker described its possible key specs.
According to the tipster, we could expect that it will be released in China this month.
Tipster Reveals Dimensity1100 Coming for New Redmi K40

According to a report by Tech Nave, the prominent leaker in Weibo who is under the name Digital Chat Station has already mentioned the two chipset models that the Redmi K40 Gaming phone could potentially introduce.
At the time of writing in February, the Dimensity 1200 (MT6893) and Dimensity 1100 (MT6891) were leaked to be the upcoming chipsets of the gaming smartphone.
Dimensity 1200 was already released, and yet at the moment, the launch of the Dimensity 1000 chipset still needs further confirmation from Redmi if it will come sooner than we think.

From the same source, the new details pointed out to Dimensity 1100 SoC, which will be a lighter chipset for the Redmi K40 Gaming phone. We could see an affordable phone from the former K-Series device which will make a difference in the field of gaming.
New Redmi K40 Gaming Phone’s Rumored Key Specs
The leaker added that the display of the upcoming variant will have a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), as well as a unique punch-hole.
When it comes to its camera, the new Redmi K40 will feature a rear camera, the main one with 64 megapixels. For those who are looking for an effective gaming phone, its 67W fast-speed charging will be one of its keystones along with its battery of 5,000 mAh.
Redmi K40 Lite Coming Soon?
According to the recent report by Gizmochina, the new model of the Redmi K40 could be called the Redmi K40 Lite. Most probably, it will first be launched in Chinese markets before being launched globally.
For its price, the leaker speculated that the variant with the Dimensity 1100 Soc will start at around 1,500 Yuan ($249) or 1,699 Yuan ($264) since the original K40 Gaming phone’s price is 1,999 yuan ($311) from the onset.
Currently, we are aware that the model number of the Redmi K40 Gaming is M2104K10C. Judging from the leaked details, the Redmi K40 Gaming Lite will have a model number M2104K10AC. It is spotted on TENAA, 3C, and Master Lu.
The listing from Master Lu has a close resemblance to the information that Digital Stations shared. According to it, the rumored lite K-series smartphone will have a Dimensity 1100 chipset, 256 GB of storage, and 8 GB RAM. It will also come with a Full High Definition display.
Meanwhile, it is also revealed from the listing that the K40 Gaming Lite will be launched later this May.
