Country star, Morgan Wallen, was banned from label after using “N” word.
In the last seven months, Wallen’s career has risen up quite high as the singer became a top star of the industry. Nonetheless, his rising development could end soon after his “N” word using scandal exploded. So far, label Big Loud Records said that they would have banned Wallen for the action of using consent words. Many music recording companies around the U.S. have also removed his songs from their playlists.
In a statement, Big Cloud Records announced their banned obligation for Wallen. Specifically, they wrote.
“In wake of recent events, Big Loud Records has made the decision to suspend Morgan Wallen’s recording contract indefinitely. Republic Records fully supports Big Loud’s decision and agrees such behavior will not be tolerated.”
Corus Radio, iHeartMedia and other radio platforms said that they would follow Big Loud Records to apply the same ban on Wallen.
Corus Radio’s representative confirmed that they have already suspended Wallen’s songs from their system. Alike to the opponent, iHeartMedia prohibited songs from Wallen on their platform. In a statement, they wrote.
“In light of Morgan Wallen’s recent actions involving the use of a racial slur, we have made the decision to remove his music and content from our stations effective immediately.”
This prohibition for Wallen followed a reported video featured the country star on Sunday night when he was drunk and continued to say out loud those consent “N” words.
On Tuesday, Wallen admitted the wrongdoing and said that he was so ashamed for creating this mess.
He said that his action was inappropriate and he wish he could take those words back. Definitely, the singer described that there are no excuses for using such a bad type of language. But not everyone will listen to his apology. Mickey Guyton, Black musician, said that an apology could not solve things out.
She agreed that no one should be canceled, but this action of Wallen was way to far that no one can sympathize with that. Maren Morris, another country star, stood in the same line with Guyton.
However, it is not the first time that Wallen made a wrongdoing. Last year, he went to a crowded music night without mask and was charged by the police. Anyway, hopefully that he would learn something from this mistake and get better in future. Absolutely, this wrongdoing will educate Wallen something about the behaviors.
