Since winning the competition on July 22, Nhi has participated in numerous interviews and media tours with the press.
In an interview on July 27, Nhi was asked, “What changes does your boyfriend need to make, now that you are Miss World Vietnam?”
She said her boyfriend needed to make “quick and meaningful changes so he can catch up with me.”
In another interview, she said she was more mature than people her age who just wanted to “sleep, have fun, and drink milk tea.”
“I entered a beauty pageant. I’m more mature than them. While they’re still in school and working part-time, I’m already a beauty queen,” he said. she declared.

Nhi soon came under heavy criticism for the comments and quickly filmed a tearful apology saying she was inexperienced and didn’t think well, causing people to misunderstand her.
“I’m sorry for letting people down. I hope in the future I’ll be more careful with my words so people can get a better perspective of me,” she said.
Nhi added that because she had to do so many interviews, sometimes she didn’t fully understand the questions and gave the wrong answers.
“I also have fatigue and it doesn’t make my mind very clear,” she said.
Nhi, 21, a student at HCMC International University, was crowned Miss World Vietnam on July 22, in the southern beach town of Quy Nhon.
Her boyfriend is a student at HCMC University of Architecture. Nhi said the two have a long-term relationship and their love is genuine.
She will have a year to train and improve before representing Vietnam in the Miss World 2024 contest.
