Vietnam has long been regarded as an important potential market to seek partners and franchisees by many leading international F&B franchisees, thanks to positive economic growth, increasing consumer spending and entrepreneurial culture ideally suited to franchising.
In April 2020, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) reported that more than 235 foreign brands were registered as franchise companies in Vietnam, and that more than 50 percent of the total franchise contracts signed were in the F&B sector.

MakanSingapore, the first F&B franchise trade show dedicated to bringing F&B franchise opportunities from Singapore to Vietnam, will host a virtual event on March 25-26, 2022. The event aims to provide a platform for F&B entrepreneurs and potential franchisees in Vietnam to network and connect. featuring 30 of Singapore’s nationally recognized F&B brands with proven and successful business concepts.
The two-day event is expected to welcome more than 2,000 F&B investors, entrepreneurs and industry enthusiasts who are constantly looking to learn more about exciting F&B concepts to be brought to Vietnam. Participants can learn more about the 30 selected brands and their offerings through exclusive brand presentations. From MICHELIN bibs to iconic Singaporean food names, each brand is formulated to serve as an innovative F&B concept for the Vietnamese consumer.
In addition, the event will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions from leading international industry experts, as well as a ‘Franchise 101’ series focused on sharing insights on the F&B franchising investment thesis and the process of building a successful franchise business.
MakanSingapore is co-presented by Simple Group and Colliers Vietnam, and is supported by Enterprise Singapore, a statutory body under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Government of Singapore.
