RESTON, Va., April 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bechtel today announced the appointment of Lucy Martin as president of its Mining and Metals (M&M) businesseffective April 6, 2026. She succeeds Ailie MacAdam, who will retire in May after an exceptional 41-year career with the company.

Martin brings over 24 years of experience at Bechtel, with a track record of growing, strengthening performance and delivering results by meeting customer expectations in global markets. His leadership roles include:
- Managing Director, South America — Responsible for all aspects of the mining business in South America, including profit and loss, talent management, operations and business development, advancing major copper and water infrastructure projects while strengthening long-term partnerships in critical minerals markets.
- Director of Operations, Americas — Led the operational performance of all projects in the Americas, with responsibility for execution discipline, delivery results and operational risk management.
- Financial Director, M&M — Oversight of business strategy, financial forecasting and risk management at the portfolio level, strengthening financial discipline and improving portfolio performance globally.
- Managing Director, Asia Pacific — We drove regional growth and expanded our iron ore offering, including opening the Perth office and establishing our bulk materials handling center of excellence, strengthening relationships with our customers in Australia and the wider region.
