- Construction of libraries, mural painting and other work to improve the educational environment: more than 2,000 students have participated since 2005
SEOUL, South Korea, January 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — KT&G Social Welfare Foundation is sending 60 “Sangsang Withus” members to Bogor and Pasuruan regions of Indonesia to carry out volunteer activities until the 27th.
Sangsang Withus is a university student volunteer group run by the KT&G Welfare Foundation since 2005. The group has made 60 trips so far this year, sending 2,000 volunteers to improve living conditions through activities such as improving educational infrastructure in places like Indonesia and Mongolia.
The group of volunteers will carry out activities to improve the educational environment, including the construction of a library and bathrooms and painting works at “Vina Bangsa Sezatera Plus“Primary school in Bogor and “Elcana” primary school in Pasuruan. Culture classes, led by the Korean volunteer group, as well as other voluntary educational activities, will also be organized.
The group will also plan and manage various cultural exchange programs, including a sports day with local students and group performances.
