- Pleos Connect, a next-generation infotainment system, will launch in May as the first transitional deliverable for Hyundai Motor Group’s software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

SEOUL, South Korea, April 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) today revealed Pleos Connecta new generation in-car infotainment system designed to fundamentally transform the customer mobility experience.
The first major step in the Group’s transformation into a leader in software-centric mobility, Pleos Connect is based on three fundamental development pillars: intuitiveness, security and openness, to combine Mobile-friendly user environment with advanced artificial intelligence (AI)creating a highly scalable and intuitive platform. The system will benefit from continuous feature and performance improvements via over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
The system will debut on the Group’s new vehicles later this year in Korea. The Group aims to equip approximately 20 million Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles equipped with Pleos Connect by 2030thus strengthening its leadership in the mobility solutions of the future.
The Pleos Connect cockpit has two main screens:
- Large central screen: A wide view screen divided into three main sections.
- THE Driving information screen displays essential data including speed and warning lights, as well as 3D graphics of surrounding objects and people.
- THE Application screen is used for navigation, media and third-party applications.
- THE Bottom bar provides one-click access to recently used or pinned apps.
- Thin screen: Placed directly in front of the driver to keep them focused, the screen presents key information such as speed, media and turn-by-step instructions directly in their field of vision.
Driver safety is improved thanks to physical buttons on the steering wheel and under the large central screen, allowing quick access to key controls without using the touchscreen. Additionally, a three‑finger gesture allows drivers to easily reposition application windows or instantly close unnecessary applications, enabling safer and more convenient interaction with in-vehicle applications.
At the heart of Pleos Connect is Glio AIan advanced voice assistant built on a large language model (LLM). The system is expected to be linked to a variety of application services, allowing customers to seamlessly use a wide range of application functions with voice commands only.
