Just as specified in its software release schedule, Huawei has started sowing its EMUI 11 update for the P30, P30 Pro and Mate 20 series global units. - Smart Always On Display (AOD): Refines the user experience and introduces new visuals for AOD, allowing you to customize and showcase your personal style by adding text and images that will appear when your screen is turned off .
- Artistic Theme: Adds the Starry Night theme, with a brightly colored painting. (You can apply this theme in the Themes app.)
- Multi-Window Mode: Multi-Window allows you to open applications in a floating window for multitasking. You can move the floating window to the desired location or collapse it to a floating bubble for easier access later.
- Smoother Animation: All-new, intuitive animations in EMUI 11 create a smoother, more unified, and visually pleasing user experience when you touch items or slide across the screen. Long lasting animations will be displayed when you switch between albums in Gallery or between year and month views in Calendar, for smoother visual effects.
- Subtle Effect: Whether you turn the switches on or off, subtle effects have been enhanced throughout the operating system for greater visual satisfaction.
- Super Notepad: Notepad now supports editing notes simultaneously from multiple Huawei devices. For example, you can insert a photo from your phone into the note being edited on your tablet.
- Lasting smoothness: A new standard for system animations has been introduced, improving the speed of launching applications and the smoothness of general operations.
- Rhythmic Ringtones: System vibrations have been improved, and incoming calls and alarms now have their own custom vibration patterns. The combination of stereo sounds and coordinated vibrations brings you a more immersive experience.
- Multi-screen collaboration: This is a special feature that allows your devices to work together to reach their full potential. You can mirror your phone to your laptop screen to enhance your productivity with up to three readily available windows. (This feature requires a Huawei laptop installed with PC Manager version 11.0 or later.)
- Gallery: In the discovery tab of the gallery, you can create video stories by applying predefined templates with special effects and background music. The video editing features are optimized to provide you with more instruction on how to use the timeline and editing options.
- Screen protection intact: When you project your phone in Do Not Disturb mode on your Huawei laptop, incoming messages and calls are displayed only on your phone screen, both protecting your privacy and ensuring the continuity of the screen projection.
- NotePad Privacy: This allows you to lock the notes in NotePad.
- Photo Sharing Privacy: This allows you to remove the shooting location, time, and camera information from photos before sharing them.
