The Huawei Mate X2 has just been unveiled and will be available in China later this week. Unlike some flagship competitors, the X2 will come in a large, well-stocked retail package. Watch the official unboxing video to see what’s inside.
There is the telephone, of course, which travels unfolded. Note that there are screen protectors pre-applied on the indoor and outdoor screen. Further down in the box is the SuperCharger 66W (the phone reaches 55W, but you can charge laptops with this power supply). You also get a USB-C cable and a USB-C headset.
That’s not all – a protective leather case is included in the box. It has a built-in kickstand that can support the phone whether it’s open (so you can see its huge 8 inch screen) or closed (the 6.45 inch external screen has a cinematic aspect ratio. of 21: 9).
The video also highlights the corner design of the phone. It’s thickest near cameras and tapers, measuring just 4.4mm at the thinnest part. When closed, Huawei’s patented hinge design leaves no space between the two halves, but also gently bends the teardrop-shaped OLED panel to minimize wrinkling.
The Huawei Mate X2 will be available in China from February 25, starting at CNY 18,000 ($ 2,780 / € 2,300).
