Huawei HarmonyOS is coming to a few phones. Wednesday, June 2, is expected to be a big day for Huawei and not just because it is now announcing new phones but also because they will all be including the HarmonyOS and a few other features.
World Without Google
According to the story by SlashGear, the company might actually tease a number of new phones but the event’s focus will directly be on the software that the company uses in order to power these phones. The upcoming phones will be powered by the HarmonyOS which is said to take the center stage both literally and figuratively and it will also be finally showing Huawei’s vision for a world without Google.
Of course, the success of Huawei’s plan will still depend on how many of their phones will the HarmonyOS be available on and it currently seems like the company has decided to push it hard even on certain Huawei phones that have already previously been released. The HarmonyOS is expected to be pre-installed in certain future Huawei devices.
Huawei HarmonyOS Phone List
The upcoming Huawei phones to contain the HarmonyOS include the Huawei P50 series and even the most recently rumored Huawei MatePad Pro 2. Those, however, will only be but a fraction of the phones that Huawei plans to release the HarmonyOS on. Fans might see the list grow later on as Huawei is trying to push out its HarmonyOS instead of Android.
A leak on Weibo releases a number of older phones that are expected to include the HarmonyOS. Taking a look at the list, it is evident that some of the phones are still quite new but others can be considered a little older.

The leak also notes that the updates will be made available on June 2 which is expected to be the exact date that Huawei would finally debut its HarmonyOS for phones with the name HarmonyOS 2.0. Quite interestingly, the source also notes that the phones are now being upgraded in certain offline shores as well.

HarmonyOS 2.0 is NOT a Custom Android
The article also suggests that any new phone that is from the list will now be running the HarmonyOS instead of the general Android. Huawei is slowly phasing out the Android on other devices as well but we might just have to wait and see which other models does the company want to launch the HarmonyOS on.
With this being said, there is currently still a little bit of confusion as to whether the HarmonyOS 2.0 is’t the regular Android but with a certain custom skin. This is something that Huawei denies strongly. Other questions regarding Huawei’s Google-free HarmonyOS might be answered on June 2 when the company officially announces and introduces the HarmonyOS to the public.
