On its Weibo grip, Huawei has officially confirmed that it will announce the successor to the Mate XS. The Huawei Mate X2 will be announced on February 22, this comes shortly after a report specifying that the launch of the foldable smartphone is imminent.

Previous reports point to an 8.01-inch screen diagonal with a resolution of 2480×2222 and as the phone will fold inward like the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it will also feature a 6.45-inch external display. It would support a 90Hz refresh rate on these displays, provided by Samsung and BOE.
The Mate X2 will be powered by the 5nm Kirin 9000 5G chipset and reportedly support Android 10, 66W charging, and a battery rated at 4,400mAh.
