Google Pixel 6 Leaked Cases Hints at Zoom Camera Return, Bulky Rear Bulge, and XL Variant

The Google Pixel 6 leaked cases suggested that the flagship phone will sport a bulky rear bump, zoom camera, and an XL-like size.

The next Pixel phone is heavily rumored to flaunt a radical redesign. Hence, most are wondering about the visual changes that the smartphone will be carrying.

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro revelations are heavily based on speculations. Perhaps, the cases made for the upcoming flagships could suggest some concrete design cues.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Cases

PhoneArena reported that recent cases supposedly for the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are surfacing on Weibo, a Chinese counterpart of Twitter. One of the cases revealed that one variant is nearly as big as the Pixel 4 XL released in 2019.

Also, the leaked case hinted at the comeback of the zoom camera, which sits in a bulky rear bump. And, of course, it shows the precise dimensions that the devices will likely exhibit.

Previously on June 16, TechRadar reported another Google Pixel 6 case sighting, which leaker Ice Universe tweeted. The case has a transparent design, unlike the navy-blue Weibo version that appeared the next day.

Zoom or Telephoto Lens Comeback

Moreover, the Weibo leak revealed that the vertical bulge at the rear of the Pixel 6 smartphones has an extra hole than its predecessor. As such, it has birthed to the speculation that the dead telephoto shooter is returning to the Google smartphones.

If the leak turns out to be accurate, the zoom lens adds to the main, wide, and ultra-wide cameras.

In hindsight, Google has put off the telephoto camera since the Pixel 5. Previously, the Pixel 4 had a 16 MP zoom lens.

On the contrary, the clear case did not flaunt the extra hole for a mystery camera.

Google Pixel 6 Dimensions

The case on Weibo also showed that the Pixel 6 is getting slightly similar dimensions as the Pixel 4 XL. The latter has 6.3 inches of display, while the upcoming phone has 6.4 inches.

In contrast, the Pixel 6 Pro is getting a 6.7 inches body — the biggest Google phone ever.

Google Pixel 6: Design Leaks

As of now, design-wise, the Pixel 6 is anticipated to sport a dual-tone design, smaller bezels, and a punch-hole camera, as per previous leaks.

However, a patent proposes that the future iterations of the Google phones are letting go of any visible annoyance on the screen. The company devices a technology to hide the selfie shooter under the screen.

Well, it is not surprising as smartphone makers focused on minimizing the bezels on the screens of their devices. However, the eyesore camera and sensors diminish the effort. Thus, the need to eliminate it.
