Google has a new setting that will no longer require saying “Hey Google.” It may sound tasty since it is a popular salad ingredient -Guacamole. Yet, we will see in the future how it will be delivered to the software.
The company did not divulge its plan to introduce this feature at the upcoming Google I/O Developer Conference on May 18. Judging from what it can do, the tech giant’s virtual assistant will step up for the next level.
Google Guacamole Features ‘Stop’ Command Instead of ‘Hey Google’

The Verge reported on Friday, Apr.23 that google seems to be sporting a new feature which at the time is being tested by the employees.
Through this setting, there’s no need anymore to call “Hey Google” if you want to instruct some commands to the Google Assistant. Simply, a short command such as “stop” will make all things lighter than before.
For those who are regularly using the Android 11 and later version, you will notice that the setting named “Guacamole” has suddenly surprised those who have access to Google App.

At the moment, it is not yet open for the public testers, but so far, it has already taken the users to a deep curiosity that this feature has teased.
What Can Google Guacamole Do?
The latest report from 9to5Google pointed out some actions that the feature could demonstrate. The news source stated that Guacamole could be able to manage calls through “Stop,” the command that was previously mentioned.
You can also say “Snooze” to hand the timers, while for the calls, you can pronounce “Answer/decline the call” so you could immediately respond to the action.
Currently, you cannot access these commands since you cannot enter the Google internal website which is intended for Google employees alone.
A user even managed to try typing g.co/assistant-guacamole in hopes of enabling the g.co short links of the site. However, it did not work as expected.
If you happen to wonder why the word “Guacamole” rings a bell to you, it is because it has already been featured in Google smart speakers during the Google I/O Conference in 2019.
Particularly, it was introduced in Google Home and Nest Hub. Recently, Home has rolled out 2.36 which features the “Only Ring when Home” that notifies the users through the incoming calls when their devices are at home.
On the other hand, Google Nest 2, the second-gen smart home device has unveiled its “sleep sensing feature” which can measure micromovements when the user is sleeping.
Over nearly two years, users of these Google smart home devices have gotten used to speaking “stop” when they want to halt their ringing alarms.
With regards to Guacamole, the company remains tight-lipped about the additional details of the setting. Most probably, it is developing the software over time or it could be implementing some changes to the feature.
