Giannis Antetokounmpo signed his extension contract with Milwaukee Bucks. The NBA team has announced the news and confirmed the extensive service of their player.
It will not be surprise if Giannis Antetokounmpo leaves Milwaukee Bucks, but instead of doing so, the American-Greek star signed his extensive contract with the club. The extension will keep Antetokounmpo with the club in the next 5 years and can grant him as much as $228 million with an opt-out after four years.
“I’m blessed to be able to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let’s make these years count. The show goes on, let’s get it,” Antetokounmpo published on his Twitter. The star confessed that Milwaukee was his city, and he loved to stay with the club in the next 5 years.
After this extension, Antetokounmpo will also become the untouchable player of NBA since Kevin Durant in 2016.
The player of Bucks just got a season for himself before signing the extension. Antetokounmpo became the third player to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. He joined the list with Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon.

The player described that it was a little bit unreal to realize that he got this extension after 8 years long joining the NBA professionally.
“You took a chance on us eight years ago and now putting my signature on a contract like this is unreal,” Antetokounmpo said.
The Bucks has not made it to the NBA Final in the last two years though they ended both seasons with a record. Hopefully, with this extension of Antetokounmpo, the team will be able to turn their wish into reality. Personally for Antetokounmpo, it is a big moment of his career. When the team drafted Antetokounmpo in 2013, the player was relatively unknown. Now he is one of the best players in the NBA and the wanted piece of every single team in the league.
