Gia Lai has put a quarantine obligation on 1 major medical center of the province earlier this morning after a positive case of COVID-19 found.
Specifically, Gia Lai announced to apply quarantine obligation for Medical Center of Ia Pa district, Ia Ma Rơn ward, and Cheo Reo ward from 5 a.m, Jan. 30th. Yesterday, the government of this mountainous province found two positive cases of COVID-19 living in the listed region, and the quarantine obligation followed as a result of these new cases of coronavirus.
Previously, the patient from Gia Lai was in a same trip with the patient number 1612 to Hai Duong. Two of them were in Ha Noi before taking a voyage to Hai Duong. On Jan. 20th, she was in the same trip with her husband from Hai Duong to Gia Lai with another 16 people, the other members of this trip came to Dak Lak.

The newest patient of COVID-19 revealed that she had a complicated closed contacts with several people after coming back to Gia Lai from Hai Duong.
In order to protect the province from the pandemic threat, Gia Lai will sanitize the entire region and apply strict quarantine rule for the entire province until there is new notification. Health department of Gia Lai will summon good doctors and nurses to treat for local inhabitants.
Students on the region will be allowed to stay at home and study from distance to save them from any risk of coronavirus.
Health department of Vietnam also asks other provinces to be careful with any visitors from Hai Duong and Quang Ninh. In Ho Chi Minh city, some suspected cases of COVID-19 have also been found in the recent days. Suspected patient will have to take a test operated by the Health department of Ho Chi Minh city.
