It totally was a shock for the entire world, recognizing the death of George Michael in the Christmas day.
Christmas day was – perhaps – a nightmare for George Michael whose death at the age of 53 was wildly shocking. Everything happened 4 years ago, but it felt like it was just yesterday. On October. 12th, 2012, George was in his very last performance in front of his beloved fans at London’s Earls Court.
After the performance, he delivered some last words of himself as a musician.
“Thank you London, I love you. See you soon,” he said.
George Michael said these words when he was on a schedule for a tour to Australia after finishing pack of concerts in Europe and the U.K. Anyway, his trip to Australia was finally canceled due to his health status.
Michael struggled with several illness throughout his life. In 2011, he was put in temporary coma afterward being diagnosed to have pneumonia. The singer then had to take a surgery in order to save his life but it also threatened his ability to sing again.
And in 2014, the singer suffered from a mystic collapse which then put him in a dramatic situation and postponed his musical plans.
Fellow of Michael, rock legend Elton John was so shocked with the singer’s death. On his Twitter, the singer once wrote.
“I have lost a beloved friend – the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist.”
Michael died at his house in Goring-on Thames, Oxfordshire on the Christmas Day of 2016.
In his career, the singer was the member of pop group named Wham! whose top hits are Last Christmas, Wake Me Up, and Club Tropicana.
Besides being a singer, he was a charitable contributors of several major organizations in the U.K.’s The Terrence Higgins Trust.
Rest in peace, a legend of pop’s world!
