LINXIA, China, March 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On March 29, rain and snow fell in the Linxia area of Gansu Province. Facing a severe cold spell, State Grid Linxia Power Supply Company attached great importance, responded quickly, and actively took various measures to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid and reliable electricity supply.

In response to this sleet and cold wave weather, the company closely monitored weather trends, strengthened the monitoring and dispatch management of power grid operation, and reasonably organized the operation mode of the power grid to ensure accurate and efficient dispatch and command. At the same time, operation and maintenance personnel were organized to carry out special inspections of power transmission lines, substations and other important electrical installations in the jurisdiction, focusing on inspection of ice coverage of conductors, snow accumulation on insulators and stability of pylons foundations. Infrared temperature measuring equipment was used to detect key parts such as joints and wire nuts. Keep track of equipment operating status over time.

During special inspections, State Grid Linxia Power Supply Company implemented a three-dimensional “human patrol + machine patrol” inspection model. To address the challenges of high difficulty and low efficiency in mountainous areas, drones have been used for detailed inspections to closely observe the ice thickness on conductors and the environment of line corridors, focusing on preventing line faults caused by branches bent by snow or foreign objects blown by strong winds.

Then, the State Grid Linxia Power Supply Company will strictly implement power supply guarantee work requirements, continuously monitor weather changes, strengthen equipment operation and maintenance management, improve repair service levels, and make every effort to ensure the safe and reliable operation of power grid equipment, thereby ensuring that the public’s daily electricity production and consumption proceeds worry-free.
