Pop singer Ariana Grande has just announced on her social media account that she’s engaged to boyfriend Dalton Gomez. The 27-year-old shared a photo of a gleaming diamond ring on her left finger on Sunday, with the caption “forever n then some”.

The engagement ring features a large diamond solitaire with a pearl to one side of the stone.

The lovebirds’ relationship was made public in May this year, with the release of Grande’s “Stuck with U”, in collaboration with another pop singer Justin Bieber. In the music video, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are seen dancing together for the very first time at the end of the song.

However, according to People Magazine, the couple had already been dating months prior and were reportedly quarantined together during the pandemic.

Before Gomez, Grande was first engaged to SNL performer Pete Davidson. Their whirlwind five-month romance – with their engagement coming just a few weeks after they started dating – turned sour in October 2086.

If Gomez doesn’t sound familiar, it’s because he is not in the entertainment industry. Gomez works as a buyers agent for the luxury real estate firm Aaron Kirman Group in Los Angeles, California. He was born and raised in Southern California and is a five-year veteran of the industry, according to the firm’s website. Grande’s romantic news was met with well-wishes from fans and friends.

Hailey Bieber, the wife of Justin Bieber, commented on Grande’s post, “YAYYYYY!!! So happy for you guys.”

Grande’s manager Scooter Braun also expressed his happiness. “Congrats to these two amazing souls. Ari we love you and could not be happier for you. Dalton you are a lucky man.”

“They couldn’t be happier, they’re just so excited,” a source close to the couple tells People of the engagement. “This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled.”
