Thanh started 2023 by signing a three-year contract with V. League club Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN). He is said to have signed for 100 million VND ($4,208) per month, with a bonus of 4 billion VND per season.
Through this deal, Thanh began to purchase high-value assets.

At the end of July, he hosted a housewarming party at a newly purchased apartment in HCMC. This duplex in the high-end apartment complex in District 2 cost nearly 10 billion VND.
Since Thanh lives in Hanoi, he bought the apartment as an investment and is currently renting it out.
In June, Thanh bought a Porsche Macan S at a listing price of around VND4.3 billion in Hanoi.
The Porsche was involved in an accident and crashed into a traffic light pole in the city of Hung Yen a few days ago. The front of the vehicle was completely demolished, but the 27-year-old defender’s insurance paid for all the repairs.

Not only well financially, Thanh is also in love.
After breaking up with his ex-girlfriend at the end of 2020, Thanh remained silent about his love life for some time.
However, in April, the defender caught the eye when he posted a photo of him locking lips with a girl. Although Thanh didn’t reveal his face, fans soon discovered his identity. Thanh’s new girlfriend is Le Ngoc Anh, who lives in HCMC and works in a bank.

Under coach Park Hang-seo (2017-2022), Thanh was the number one choice on the right flank in the starting lineup. He helped the team finish second at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup, fourth at the 2018 Asian Games and he anchored the team when they advanced to the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Unfortunately, he missed Vietnam’s 2018 AFF Cup title win through injury.
Late last year, Thanh decided to part ways with boyhood club Hoang Anh Gia Lai after 15 years without a league title. He set a lot of expectations for himself by joining CAHN, a rookie club displaying great ambition in signing a string of top national team players.
2023 will be perfect for Thanh if CAHN wins the V. League. The capital club are in a good position to do so as they already lead the 2023 V. League with 34 points, two more than Hanoi FC and Viettel FC. Thanh is one of the team’s top two scorers with three goals, tied with midfielder Le Van Do.
