After receiving the green light from the European Commission, Google finalized its acquisition of Fitbit earlier this month. And from today, the Google Store is promoting Fitbit connected objects. That’s all for now, the promotion, you can not buy any of said portable devices in the store.
Instead, the Explore button redirects you to the Fitbit website. This will likely change, for example, you can buy Nest hardware directly from the Google Store.
Google already integrates data from Fitbit wearable devices into the Google Assistant. It started with the November Sleep screen, but has now been replaced by the Wellness screen. This feature will show sleep, exercise, nutrition, and general wellbeing data on smart displays like the Nest Hub.
