Elon Musk tweeted about the Tesla Cybertruck while interacting with his fans on the platform, admitting that the upcoming electric vehicle could likely be a flop, but he doesn’t care.

Although the Tesla CEO vocally acknowledged that the obscure design of the Cybertruck results in the risk of slumping sales, Musk still decided to keep the concept design of the electric vehicle.
The Tesla Cybertruck concept debuted in November 2019, introducing the massive electric truck sporting the trapezoid-shaped design.
Later on, Electreck reported that Musk floated the idea of revamping the initial design and possibly changing its colossal size.
However, eventually, the Tesla boss called it a day and decided to retain the look during the launch.
Meanwhile, Musk also reiterated in a tweet on July 2 that the Cybertruck “will be almost exactly what was shown.”
Elon Musk Tweets Tesla Cybertruck Likely to Flop
Since Tesla teased the design concept of the Cybertruck in late 2019, the electric truck still has yet to release its final production look.
As per CNBC, the Tesla CEO is still determined to go on with the initial design as Musk fell in love with it, even if other bystanders feel the opposite about the Cybertruck.
However, Musk admitted that the look that he loves could be the reason for its downfall.
He further highlighted that the concept design of the massive trapezoid truck stands out from the rest of its counterparts, adding that it seems to be a brainchild of extraterrestrial creatures.
To be frank, there is always some chance that Cybertruck will flop, because it is so unlike anything else.

It is to note that the Tesla Cybertruck has already garnered about 1 million reservations on May 25, but its release date still has yet to come to fruition.
Tesla Cybertruck Design Change: No Door Handles
It is worth noting that the initial concept of the Tesla Cybertruck still featured four door handles.
Nevertheless, the Tesla boss changed his mind on March 25, and instead opted for an extremely plain design of the door for the upcoming truck — sans the handles.
Now, billionaire bared how the doors will open and close without the traditional door handles. Rather than manually pulling a grip, the Cybertruck will automatically open its entryway upon recognizing the vehicle owner.

Tesla Cybertruck: Four Wheel Steering
Another design change that the Cybertruck is set to flaunt is a feature that is useful for rocky terrains.
Elon Musk unveiled on July 2 that the upcoming electric truck is getting a rear-wheel steering feature. The said additional function is notably similar to a feature that the GMC Hummer EV flaunts that goes by the name “crab mode.”
The Tesla exec disclosed that the new steering feature enables the truck to turn its rear wheels to the design direction, which the electric Hummer also does.
