Dwayne Haskins, quarterback of Washington, has violated the COVID-19 regulation by partying at a strip club which rarely has happened among the sportsmen.
Partying in a strip club – specifically during the COVID-19 period – was an action of neglected, perhaps, ignorant and arrogant of such a star like Dwayne Haskins who has violated the COVID-19 regulation recently.
But the action of Haskins was a rare things happened among sportsmen. In a whole year of 2020, clubs and athletes are asked to self quarantine and isolate themselves instead of joining party in strip club. Haskins then has written sorry words on his Twitter.
“It was irresponsible and immature and I accept responsibility for my action,” he wrote.
Haskins likely will be punished, but it is not the first time he has violated COVID-19 regulation. Earlier this year, he was penalized the amount of more than $4.000 when he booked a hotel room for his family ahead of the game against New York Giants.
Unfortunately, Haskins and his team Washington were not the exceptional case of teams in the NFL that violated the COVID-19 regulation.
New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans were also punished by the NFL for violating the social distancing rule. But the most notable one before Haskins’ incident was the violation of Denver Broncos.
NFL should feel lucky that they can continue to play throughout the season of 2019-2020 instead of being postponed for too long. And though the league required their players to respect the social distancing rule, NFL observed more than one violated cases. Haskins’ party inside the strip club was so neglected that Washington could also be punished for this case.
More than 310.000 Americans have been killed by COVID-19 and what Haskins has done was terribly ignorant. What a mess has been created by Haskins.
Probably, the only thing that is so lucky about this incident of Haskins is that not all sportsmen do such a violated things like Haskins. In the end, it is not that bad at all.
