Andrea Pirlo has confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo’s ankle injury in Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Lazio on Sunday. Juventus hoped that his injury won’t be serious.
The 35-year-old left the pitch in the 76th minute because of his injury. Paulo Dybala replaced the role of the Portuguese striker, but he also picked up an injury late on. Since the replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus received a late stoppage-time goal by Lazio. Juventus took the lead thanks to Ronaldo‘s sixth goal of the season before the score was equalized by Lazio’s Felipe Caicedo.
Juventus currently is three-point behind AC Milan, the leader of Serie A. About the injury of Ronaldo, Pirlo said. “Ronaldo is a key player not only for us but for all the teams he has played for.”
“Unfortunately he had an ankle problem and was forced to leave the field,” Pirlo added.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the key player of Juventus since his arrival at the club in 2017, and until now, the striker still plays an important role among Juventus squad. The absence of Portuguese G.O.A.T will affect the attacking efficiency of Juventus. His injury will undergo the medical prescription this Monday.

Besides the injury of Ronaldo, Pirlo shared about his difficult situation at Juventus. Over the last seven games of Juventus, they only got three victories.
“We had a good match. They never had a shot on goal; there were no signs, but we have to take care of every little detail. We didn’t manage the ball in the last ten seconds. We are satisfied with the game, unfortunately not with the result.” Pirlo said.
Although the team has not performed the best soccer, Pirlo was confident about the future of the team.
“The head comes, first of all, today all the boys have given their best, shown that they can play these matches. If you go on to the pitch with a negative attitude, you have bad performances. We were missing the malice to achieve decisive results. When they do it like they did today, they see the solutions,” Pirlo said.
About Ronaldo, he will miss the upcoming Champions League game against Ferencvaros this Wednesday. Hopefully, we will all see him come back soon.
