Clubhouse’s competitor Facebook Live Audio Rooms is now rolling out in the United States. Facebook Inc. confirmed that this new service will be available in the U.S. together with FB Podcasts.

The social media giant confirmed that this platform innovation will begin on June 21. This means that U.S.-based public figures and other groups will start hosting rooms through the main Facebook iOS application.
On the other hand, hosts can invite both iOS and Android participants. This simply means that anyone can join the new Live Audio Rooms. Hosts can invite 50 speakers.
Facebook confirmed that there will be no cap when it comes to listeners, which means that there is no limit. This is currently considered a better feature compared to Clubhouse since it imposes room size limitations.

Facebook explained that these notifs will appear when your friends or followers join a room. On the other hand, Facebook’s Clubhouse-like service will also have a “Raise A Hand” button, which can be clicked when you want to request to join the conversation.
On the other hand, the interested users of the new Clubhouse’s competitor will have reactions that can be used to interact with other participants within the chat. This will be another advantage of Facebook Live Audio Rooms since Clubhouse still doesn’t have live captions.
Meanwhile, the giant social media platform explained that the admins will have control over room creations. This means that they can also allow or deny group members, moderators, and other admins from creating a room.
Facebook’s Podcasts
Aside from Live Audio Rooms, Facebook also confirmed that it is also releasing its new Podcasts in the U.S. Variety reported that these podcasts are accessible via a mini player or full-screen player experience with playback options.
Users can now listen to some selected podcasters on their FB Pages and News Feed with the new Facebook Podcasts. On the other hand, the giant social media platform also announced that it has collaborated with Spotify to integrate its audio player in the Facebook app.
