Clubhouse, the pioneering voice social network, announced on Twitter that it will finally be available worldwide through its Android app on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Japan, Brazil, and Russia will get the new social experience — ahead of the rest — on Tuesday. Nigeria and India, on the other hand, will get it slightly earlier, on Friday morning, Clubhouse also tweeted.

Android users in the United States were welcomed to the bandwagon on May 9. It was after the app, since its launch in March 2020, was only exclusive to iPhone users.
When the beta for Android in the U.S. was announced, Clubhouse also hinted that other countries will get their hands on it as well, eventually. And that day is nearing!
‘Measured Approach To Growth’
Clubhouse, since it took off and broke the internet, has been growing at unexpected rates. It even said as it announced the Android beta, that the traffic on its app shifted its focus away from curating features and hosting community meetups.
The developers now had to focus on ensuring that the capacity of the app will follow its expansion. Users may expect newer features only to sprout after it has laid its ground across the globe successfully.
It is noteworthy that Twitter has surpassed the pioneer in terms of the rollout. It has welcomed more users globally in the first week of May. However, Clubhouse explained why it slightly lags.
“When you scale communities too quickly, things can break,” the pioneering voice-based social media said on the announcement of the Android beta. It also notes that they are maintaining “a measured approach to growth.”
Furthermore, the company said that the beta is meant to gather feedback and fix existing issues to smoothen its further rollout.
If there is some fixing to be done, the popular audio app should take a look at their banning methods. Recent report say that the app has a “problematic” and “weak” system for blocking and reporting users.
Clubhouse’s Decline and Clones
Celebrities and even famous personalities like Elon Musk have joined the voice-only craze started by Clubhouse, TechCrunch reported. Consequently, clone apps have stormed rapidly also due to their limited availability.
Twitter Spaces, as mentioned earlier, is one of the most successful in terms of rollout and growth in users.
Aside from it, Discord has its Stage Channels, The Verge reported. Moreover, Spotify, Slack, LinkedIn, and Reddit are also attempting to enter the bandwagon. To add, most are still in the early stages.
Despite the hype for Clubhouse, TechCrunch also reported that it has been struggling to keep it at a stable growth. Its app download has plummeted, according to the statistics shared by firm App Magic.
As the voice-based app reaches other shores in a week, we have yet to see how it will affect its plummeting growth of users.
