Twitter and its presidents don’t have it, and they revealed online that legal action would follow if Elon Musk doesn’t go ahead with buying the social media company in his recent deal. Almost everything is in place with the Twitter deal between Musk and the company, but here was a drag as essentials were left unknown to Tesla’s CEO.

According to a statement from the chairman of Twitter, Bret Taylor, legal action would follow if the deal is canceled or not pursued in the future. Twitter’s team plans to push the matter forward, and the company would lay its hands on pushing through the deal and merger as part of the initial sale.
According to The Verge, Taylor released this statement shortly after Musk’s team went to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to file their intention to pull out of the sale. Nevertheless, Taylor’s statement is strong, as it claims to have the upper hand that the company will take precedence over this deal by law.

Is Elon Musk Violating His Twitter Sales Agreement?
Musk signed a binding agreement on the deal with Twitter, but there was once a dispute where the tech CEO discovered various undisclosed information supplied with the company in this deal. It appears that both have breaches on their side regarding this Twitter sale.
If Musk actually opts out now, there would be a legal battle between Musk and Twitter.
Elon Musk and Twitter
Elon Musk’s favorite platform to advertise Tesla and bring news about his various companies, including his personal life and opinions, is Twitter, and the CEO wanted to be a part of it before. There are many things Musk would change with Twitter, and one of them is a platform that would provide free speech to everyone.
To do that, Musk will make the company private, and would bring back the early days of Twitter when it operated a social media that made its own rules and allowed the public to focus on what they wanted. However, some would still be banned as there are specific laws that can punish them for the public information they share.
Now Musk’s camp has filed their case with the SEC regarding their withdrawal from the deal, and it’s something Twitter won’t let go of.
A binding deal that Musk and his camp signed will likely hold a case against their team, as the Twitter sale is something the board has already decided and made peace with. Future legal proceedings could occur if Musk opts out of the Twitter sale, and there would be significant exchange between them and the social media company.
