Bandmate Rosé also uploaded several posts documenting their time in Vietnam’s capital, including behind-the-scenes photos and videos and a photo of a cake given to the band by their Vietnamese fanbase. The cake was decorated in black, white and pink, with the figures of the four band members attached.
Blackpink’s oldest member Jisoo also posted photos of herself at the Hanoi concerts on her Instagram account. She wrote in the caption, “I had such a great time in Vietnam, which I just visited for the first time! I received a lot of energy from [Blackpink’s fandom] FLASH! See you soon. I like you.”
Lisa also wrote in Vietnamese on her Instagram account: “Hanoi! Chung ta se som gap lai nhau” (Hanoi! We will meet again soon).
Blackpink was formed in 2016 and consists of four members: Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé.
The group’s performances at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium on July 29 and 30, which marked the conclusion of their “Born Pink” world tour, were attended by around 70,000 people.
Launched late last year, “Born Pink” has grossed around $163.8 million to date and sold over 900,000 tickets.
This makes it the highest-grossing girl group tour of all time, surpassing the previous record set by the Spice Girls’ 2019 reunion tour ($78.2 million).
