Scenario-based sourcing reshapes business logic as Asia’s diverse supply chain tackles global uncertainty
HONG KONG, April 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Phase I of the April 2026 Global Sources Hong Kong Show opened today at AsiaWorld-Expo, April 11-14. Three major international exhibitions for gaming, consumer electronics and electronic components are taking place simultaneously, covering categories such as AV, automotive electronics, computer peripherals, commercial electronics, outdoor electronics, gaming and esports, electronic components, and batteries and power supplies. With more than 4,000 stands, the shows bring together more than 2,000 quality Asian suppliers presenting around 150,000 products. The show is expected to attract more than 60,000 international B2B professional buyers, with more than 40% in Europe and the United States.
Headquartered in Hong Kong for 55 years, Global Sources is dedicated to connecting global buyers with Asian manufacturers and is internationally recognized as a sourcing platform for innovative consumer products. This edition of the show brings together suppliers from several countries, including mainland China, Vietnam, South Korea and India. Hundreds of Chinese mainland exhibitors have already established overseas factories in Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Turkey and elsewhere, offering multi-country production capabilities that provide global buyers with a critical anchor of supply certainty in an era of uncertainty.
John Kao, Vice President of Hong Kong Exhibitions and Overseas Exhibitions at Global Sources, said: “Amid the accelerated restructuring of the global trade landscape, pricing policies in major economies continue to change. a direct window into Asia’s full-spectrum supply chain. Over the past year, we have observed that sourcing decision cycles are getting shorter and shorter. Buyers are wondering not only if a product is innovative, but also if a supplier has strong ODM collaboration capabilities and can support product launches in the next six to 12 months. This means that for global brand owners, channel partners and systems integrators attending the show, it not only serves as a platform to discover new products, but also as a place where they can identify and evaluate partners with the capabilities to collaborate from co-design through scalable delivery – significantly reducing friction costs and uncertainty in cross-border partnerships while improving the efficiency and resilience of the entire business chain.
Full-Stack Esports Ecosystem Exposed; Return of the popularity vote of KOLs and gaming peripheral buyers
The Gaming Show has nearly 500 booths, showcasing flagship products such as monitors, mechanical keyboards, gaming headsets, ergonomic chairs and PC cases. Beyond individual product presentations, the show emphasizes seamless product integration across brands to create a complete ecosystem of esports workstations, allowing buyers to source a complete suite of peripherals in one place.
The third edition of the “KOLs & Buyers’ Favorite Gaming Gear Awards” returns alongside the show. A jury of top KOLs from the United States, Poland, mainland China and Hong Kong will evaluate six popular categories – gaming mice, keyboards, chairs, monitors, PC cases and headsets – along five dimensions: design, functionality, user experience, material quality and innovative technology. Through hands-on on-site testing and live demonstrations, the awards provide a credible annual procurement guide that combines professional endorsement and real market feedback.
The consumer electronics show covers various lifestyle scenarios; Electronic Components Show Focuses on Frontiers in Energy Technology
The Consumer Electronics Show has approximately 3,500 booths, showcasing various sourcing options through a scenario-based layout. The outdoor electronics zone captures camping and cycling trends, bringing together photography equipment and smart mobility devices. The audio zone is organized around home entertainment and office conferencing scenarios. The IT & Accessories, Business Electronics and Automotive Electronics sections feature hybrid work solutions, retail service solutions and intelligent driving system level solutions, respectively. By grouping exhibits according to real-world application scenarios, buyers can directly compare and evaluate products in contexts that reflect end-user needs, improving the efficiency of sourcing decisions.
The electronic components fair includes around 100 stands, closely following the trends in energy technologies. Strengths include semi-solid-state batteries, solid-state batteries and other cell-level products, as well as system-level solutions such as integrated battery storage cabins and portable power stations. The show helps buyers understand the technology iteration journey from cells to energy storage systems, as well as supply chain integration opportunities.
