Anthony Joshua got a beautiful knock-out win over Hungarian Kubrat Pulev, and the Englishman then sent a challenge to the belt holder at this moment – Tyson Fury. It was a good match for Fury against Pulev, but is he ready for Fury.
It is arguable who is a better boxer between the duo Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, but it is definitely going to be a big showcase between the two fighters when they go one on one. Fury is currently the belt holder of WBC, and Joshua wants to challenge the champion right after he claimed a victory against Hungarian boxer Kubrat Pulev.
Joshua knocked out his Hungarian opponent in the third round with a beautiful uppercut and straight punch. Pulev was tough, decent, and challenging, but that combo was enough to end the fighting night of the Hungarian. Afterward the match against Pulev, Joshua was immediately looking forward to having the next challenge. And as it has been said earlier, Joshua called out the name of Tyson Fury as the next challenge.
In the post-match interview, he said about the next challenge.
“Of course, I want a challenge, it’s not about the opponents, it’s about the legacy and the belts — whoever’s got the belt, I’d love to compete with them. If that’s Tyson Fury, let it be Tyson Fury. It’s no big deal,” Joshua said.
However, in order to step inside the ring against Fury, he would have to go through a few more challenges, including the mandatory match against WBO challenger Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury did not confirm the fight yet, but he said on this social media site that he will welcome any challengers. The answer to Fury and Joshua about this fight should be delivered in the upcoming week. For Joshua, he is willing to take on the next challenge.
