Apple will bring a new ultra-wide-angle camera with a brighter f / 1.8 lens to all iPhone 13 models, according to a rating from Barclays analysts Blayne curtis and Thomas o’malley.
This information differs from a previous report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said only Pro models will receive the new camera.
The new f / 1.8 lens will increase the amount of light reaching the sensor compared to the f / 2.4 lens used on current ultra-wide iPhones.
It is also likely that Apple will increase the sensor size of the new ultra wide-angle cameras as the current 1 / 3.6 “fades from the 1 / 2.55” of the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the Mammoth 1 / 1.54 “of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro.
The Barclays analyst report goes on to say that Apple will continue to use the 12MP f / 2.2 65mm 2.5x camera, exclusive to this year’s 12 Pro Max, in the iPhone 13 series and will also expand it from the Pro Max to the Pro. .
Industry sources report that Apple will stick to the formula of a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone with two cameras and a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone with three cameras .
