When Apple closed its retail stores in the United States in mid-March 2020, the original plan was to reopen a few weeks later on the 27th. That did not happen – it took nearly a year for all of them. American stores to reopen, which they eventually did.
9to5Mac reports that all 270 Apple stores in the United States are open to some extent. Some allow in-store shopping sprees, others still function as Express storefronts, but they are open.
If you are planning a store visit, please be aware that Apple is still enforcing COVID-19 precautions – that means you must wear a mask and store occupancy is limited. It’s best to check out your local store on this page to see what services they offer, and then use the Apple Store app to book an individual session if you need to. Walk-ins can be turned away.

The last stores to reopen were in Texas in the Houston, Dallas and San Antonio areas. The plan was to open a week ago, but bad winter weather that hit Texas has delayed that plan.
As with the rest of the world, Apple stores in Mexico are opening today. In the UK shops are closed with the exception of Genius Bar services (by appointment) only. In France, some stores remain temporarily closed.
