Boxing Day is a huge day for Aston Villa as they have defeated Crystal Palace with a tremendous margin of 3 goals.

Aston Villa started the match better, scoring the opening goal after just 5 minutes after the ball was kicked off. The Birmingham side created high pressure on their opponent at the very first minutes of the match, but it was Crystal Palace who got the first chance to score a goal. It was Wilfried Zaha who got that chance. Sadly, Emiliano Martinez was there to create a stoppage.

Just 5 minutes in, and then Aston Villa got the opening goal thanks to the attempt of Olie Watkins and then the shot of former Ajax Amsterdam’s star, Bertrand Traoré. The graduate of Chelsea youth academy finished the opening goal with an easy shot. It was 1-0 for Aston Villa, and the heat started to get high from then.

Both teams fought hard for three points, and the remaining time observed the balanced flow of two sides. Crystal Palace got their chance to equalize the result, but none of it found their ways to the back of the net.

The first half between Crystal Palace and Aston Villa ended with an advantage for the Birmingham side.

In the second half, Aston Villa was once again the leading team. In only 20 minutes of the second half, the team from Birmingham city got their second goals thanks to a header of Kortney Hause.

It was a controversial header but then finally accepted to be a goal. The result was 2-0, and it forced Crystal Palace to push their team forward. But none of the attempts of .Crystal Palace found their ways to the back of the net.
