Andreina Pereira, the Curaçao representative and among the top candidates for the 2023 Miss Supranational title, chose a cut-out see-through dress designed by Nguyen Minh Tuan during the pageant’s semi-final.

The Vietnamese designer says he was inspired by how people of Curaçao never hesitate to face and overcome challenges that come to them while designing Pereira’s dress.
Using white as its main tone, the dress is made from see-through material with crystal beads attached on it and matched with a feather coat.
According to Tuan, the Curaçao beauty’s entourage contacted him months before the contest, as they were impressed with another dress made by Tuan, which the 2022 Miss Universe second runner-up Andreína Martínez donned during the contest.
Tuan prepared a total of 12 outfits for Pereira, including two new customized gowns and 10 dresses chosen by the beauty from his old collections.
Pereira is set to wear another design by Tuan when she appears in the final night of the 2023 Miss Supranational pageant, which is set to take place Saturday.

The Curacao contestant is not the only beauty that has set eyes on Tuan’s designs. Dominican beauty Crystal Matos has been seen in Tuan’s designs twice since the beginning of the contest, including a cut-out dress in the semi-final and a see-through dress during the sash giving ceremony.

Pereira, 28, was the second runner-up of the 2022 Miss Universe Curacao.
Tuan, 31, gained fame after his designs appeared at many domestic and international beauty contests. The designer is working on a new collection, which is expected to be released this month, as part of the 2023 Miss World Vietnam pageant.
He is the favorite gown designer of many international celebrities, including Hollywood actress Caylee Cowan, Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna Royo and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova.
